At the end of September , 2006, Ray and I went on a 7 week trip to the USA.  Ray called it "The TWILIGHT ZONE Tour" as most of the time we were not going to be in the REAL WORLD.

We started with a fantastic 2 weeks aboard the Coral Princess travelling from Los Angeles in California to Fort Lauderdale in Florida via the Panama Canal.  What a way to start a holiday.  We cruised down the coast of Mexico stopping at Cabo San Lucas, Acapulco and Huatulco, then onto Costa Rico stopping at Puntarenas. 

This is me having a close encounter with Iguana's in Mexico and a Toucan in Costa Rico.

Going through the Panama Canal was special.  The Coral Princess is the largest cruise ship that can get through.  They needed to repaint the sides as it was a very tight fit.  Our two stops in the Caribbean were in Aruba and Jamaca.  Finally had to get off at Fort Lauderdale and drive to Orlando. 

We stayed there a week and shopped, went to Epcot, shopped and MGM and shopped and The Magic Kingdom. The Beach Boys were performing at EPCOT so we saw them sing "KOKOMO"  which has Aruba and Jamaca in the words.  They probably did this just for us.

We then took a train from Orlando to Charleston in South Carolina.  Just 8 hours, but it gave us a chance to see the country side withouth the hassle of driving.
